HOTEL500 is situated on the shore of the Zegrze Water Reservoir - the Warsawers' favourable place of week-end stays, offers almost unlimited possibilities of practicing of tourism and water sports. The hotel makes available to its guests a selection of water equipment and mountain bikes. Another big attraction is the possibility of making use of the golf field in the nearby Rajszewo. In the Winter time, or in the time of bad weather, we invite our Guests to use the hotel sauna or the hotel fitness club.
The Zegrzyński Water Reservoir is an artificial water reservoir of an area of 33 km2, at the confluence of Narew and Bug Rivers. It was created in 1962 by way of a water dam built on the Narew River near Dębe (the dam is 24 m high) and it is one of the more important tourist attractions of Mazovia. It is mainly a place of recreation, about 1500 yachts and sailing boats sail on the Reservoir every summer - a wonderful place for yachting. A dozen or so regatta events are organized here, every year, in which the best Polish yachtsmen participate. Mateusz Kusznierewicz career was begun just here. In winter, when the waters of the Reservoir are frozen, there appear iceboats.
The clean and not so deep water is the reason why the Zagrzyński Water Reservoir is a paradise for anglers. They can fish breams, carps, roaches, white breams, pikeperches, pikes, perches and catfish. The latter ones have very good conditions for growth, here - the angler"s record amounts to 74.5 kilogram. The best fishing grounds are situated on the estuaries of Narew, Bug and Rządza rivers, and also in the vicinity of the bridge at Zegrze and the dam at Dębem.
